I saw this over on the Modern Witch’s Bookshelf, and it looked like fun! When I first decided to do it, I thought it would take me a while because there are 26 questions (There are 26 letters in the alphabet right? A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I … haha JK!) but it didn’t take me very long at all! It was refreshingly easy to answer most of these 🙂
Here are my answers:
A. Author you’ve read the most books from
According to Goodreads its Janet Evanovich:
but that is not considering re-reads. If you count re-reads it is probably J.K Rowling.
B. Best sequel ever
Mortal Heart is book three in the “His Fair Assassin” Trilogy but it was the best book of the series!
C. Currently reading
D. Drink of choice
E. E-reader or physical book
Hmmm. Depends on the book, my mood, and where I am reading. I use both regularly.
F. Fictional character you probably would have dated in high school.
I didn’t date in High School, I was a nerd and guys didn’t know I existed.
G. Glad you gave this book a chance
I honestly can’t remember a time where I didn’t want to read a book that I ended up liking. I usually have a pretty good idea if I will like a book before I read it. I can list times where I didn’t want to read a book and didn’t like it, or where I thought I would like it but didn’t, but not the other way around.
H. Hidden gem
Ok so this probably isn’t a hidden gem to anyone else, but for the longest time I didn’t know it was a book. Then when I found out it was a book, I was looking for the original by S. Morgenstern. It took me FOREVER to find out that there was no original, that the book was written by William Goldman. He wrote it like he was abridging a book even though there wasn’t any other book. Its brilliant!
I. Important moment in your reading life
In High School we had a student teacher who was running out of time but still had to teach a Tale of Two Cities. He decided it was a good idea to skip half the book and have us start reading in the middle because the first part was “not as important.” This seemed super weird to me so I read the whole book and was the only kid in the class who knew what was going on. I was very proud of myself.
J. Just finished
K. Kind of book you won’t read
Horror! I am a scaredy cat.
L. Longest book you’ve read
According to Goodreads its A Storm of Swords at 1,177 Pages
M. Major book hangover because of…
I could not get over this book. It was amazing and I NEEDED more.
N. Number of bookshelves you own
Five, but I need more, they are overflowing.
O. One book you’ve read multiple times
P. Preferred place to read
If David is home and awake then I like to read wherever he is (usually on the couch in the living room). I like the company and the background noise. If it is just me, I like the giant beanbag in my “library”
Q. Quote that inspires you
“Cats are intended to teach us that not everything in nature has a function” ~Garrison Keillor
Ok, so this isn’t really inspiring so much as funny, but its the quote of the day on my board at work!
R. Reading regrets
I regret reading Lord of the Flies. That book gave me nightmares. (It was required reading in High School)
S. Series you’ve started and need to finish
Fire and Ice Trilogy, I need to read the third book.
T. Three of your all time favorite books
1) Pride and Prejudice
2) Princess Bride
3) Uprooted
U. Unapologetic fangirl
Harry Potter!!! Here is my half-assed attempt at Luna Lovegood Cosplay:
V. Very excited for this release more than others
Heroine’s Journey By Sarah Kuhn (The cover hasn’t been revealed yet so no picture)
W. Worst bookish habit
I read while I wait for the shower to heat up but then get so engrossed in the book I forget to get in the shower
X. X marks the spot: Pick the 27th book from the top left shelf
Y. Your latest purchase
Z. Z snatcher–book that kept you up way too late
I tend to get sucked into books are read waaaay to late. I do this with most books read that I really really like. Most recently these three:
I am not going to tag anyone because I was not tagged specifically, but if you want to participate that would be awesome! Let me know in the comments if you do, so I can read yours 🙂
Great post! The Luna Lovegood Cosplay is amazing. And, I have also read Pride and Prejudice multiple times. 🙋

I have Uprooted on my shelf for almost 4 years now and I still haven’t read it… I’ve heard great things about it but for some reason, I haven’t got around to reading it yet… I love this tag, it’s just so fun to read! ^^
Also, I loved what you told in the letter I! Such a precious little moment!

Oooh I hope you like it! When I read it I thought that it was a random book that noone had ever heard of and I was kinda glad cuz it was like my special book but also kinda sad cuz I didn’t have anyone to fawn over it with. (this was before my blogging days) But then I discovered it is actually a well known book when I started blogging and that was fun.
