3 Quotes, 3 Days Tag V2 – Day 2

Today’s quote was inspired by a post I read yesterday by Krysta @ Pages Unbound.  She wrote an amazing post on why you can judge a book on its cover.  Its a great read! Go check it out!

Here are my past 3 Quotes, 3 Days Tag posts:

Today’s quote:

Don’t judge a book by its cover

I know it may be counter-intuitive that I loved Krysta’s post but then chose a quote that was the exact opposite of what she was saying! In a nutshell, I agree with what she is saying but at the same time there are so many great books with awful covers! *cough* The Fire’s Stone *cough* The Thief Who Pulled On Trouble’s Braid *cough*

What books have you loved that had awful covers?

    1. I don’t mind the long title but the cover doesn’t do it justice. In a gross oversimplification its about a thief and a wizard taking on a mob boss. Its an action packed adventure book and the cover doesn’t even sort of convey that!

  1. You’re the one person I know who has read The Fire’s Stone! It’s such a criminally underrated book, and you’re right, that cover isn’t doing it any favours. I would pick Transformation by Carol Berg, which has a half-naked man wearing what looks a badly-made pair of cosplay wings. It’s so awful but the content is very good!

    1. I love The Fire’s Stone so much!! Its one of my favorite books! I love that you love it too 😍😍 The other cover for it isn’t as bad but I still don’t really like it! And I agree it is such a criminally underrated book!!

I looked up the cover for Transformation and it is pretty awful! The book sounds good tho! I added it to my TBR 😀
