Blogger Recognition Award #2

blogger-recognition-award-three

I was tagged by the lovely Consu @ Paper Eyed Girl! She has some really great advice and a super awesome blog so go check out her post!

Rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Write a post to show your award
  • Give a brief story of how your blog started
  • Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers
  • Select 15 other bloggers you’d like to give this award to
  • Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them, providing a link to the post you’ve created

How my blog started:

My first post was July 21st 2017 (I had to look it up!) and it was just a spur of the moment random decision.  I had stumbled upon a blog while looking on Goodreads and decided I wanted to give it a try!

Advice #1 – Break the Rules

You don’t have to follow the rules of the tags.  When tagging people, bloggers will often include a disclaimer of sorts, stating that you don’t have to participate if you don’t want to.  That one is pretty obvious.  But if you want to participate you can also tweak the rules a bit.  Take this post for example.  There is no way I am tagging 15 bloggers. I will tag three!

Advice #2 – Be Yourself

Be yourself.  There is a lot to be said about internet safety and not revealing too much, but you can still keep your identity a secret and be yourself.  Write what you enjoy and let your inner self shine through.  Posts would be super boring if everyone wrote the same way! My favorite blogs are the ones that I feel like I am actually getting to know the person and not just reading book reports! An example is that I use waaaaaay to many exclamation points and it would probably drive my old English teachers nuts.  But I don’t care! I like them!!!!

I Nominate:

  1. Bibi’s Book Blog
  2. Book Geeks Uncompromised
  3. Books are the New Black

As always, don’t feel obligated to participate! But if you do let me know so I can check out your answers!!!

  1. Thanks for the tag! ❤ I think I've recently done this one. I totally never follow the blogger rules. I think tagging 15 people is INSANE! I mean, if you can do it, all the power to you! lol

Great advice! I am glad that you decided to pick up blogging on a whim! Exclamations are the best!!!! I think I use too many but I don't care either. haha 😛

    1. You’re welcome!! ❤ I'm glad I am not the only one! I worry about bugging people by tagging them and the more people I tag the more likely it is haha! And yes I love exclamations!!!! I have never thought you have used to many tho so that is good! (but I am biased haha)

      1. I know, I always feel like I bug people but then I just realize that they won’t do it. So, whatever. I figure it’s some recognition too, right?! I don’t feel bugged or annoyed when I’m tagged. It’s a good way to break up all the book reviews! Hahaha!! Okay, good! :):)

      2. Haha I wrote a whole post on “tagging etiquette” which was really just me being insecure and apologizing for tagging people but admitting I don’t really care and I am going to do it anyway and they can choose not to participate 😂😂 I never feel bugged or annoyed either!

  2. Sometimes random decisions result in the very best outcomes 🙂 I totally agree with the advice! It can be so hard to be yourself when you think there are other people better than you out there. But no one can do it like you can! You’re unique 😉
