Friday Face-Off

Friday Face-Off: Legend

This is a weekly meme created by Books by Proxy, but kept up by Lynn’s Book Blog.

“To be a legend, you’ve either got to be dead, or excessively old!”

This weeks theme: A cover with a title featuring the word ‘legend’

My Choice: Legend

This is literally the only book I have read with ‘Legend’ in the title and it is the full title! But it has some cool covers!

Covers:

Putnam Juvenile 2011 | Speak 2013 | Loewe 2012 | Puffin 2012

Piemme 2013 | Gauntlet Press  2013 | Mizan Fantasi 2012 | ASA 2014

Zielona Sowa 2012 | Prumo 2012 | Urban Reads 2014 | Херме 2014

Văn học 2015 | کتابسرای تندیس 2017 | პალიტრა 2015 | Kinneret, Zmora, Dvir 2013

Центрполиграф 2013 | تهران، پاسارگاد 2013 | 新潮社 2012 | 북폴리오 2012

I read this series and I remember enjoying it, but it didn’t make a lasting impression because I don’t remember anything about it other than that it was a Dystopian story.

Least Favorites:

Херме 2014 | Mizan Fantasi 2012 | 新潮社 2012

I love the subtle American Flag over the silhouette of the city skyline!

Which is your favorite? Do you agree with my choice? Let me know in the comments!!

  1. Wow, you found a lot of covers for that book! I wasn’t aware. Holy Moly! I think I like the collector’s edition. Gauntlet Press 2013? I love the three picks you chose, the blue one is nice. I haven’t read the book, but it was the first one that came to my mind.

  2. Oh my goodness – what a great choice for this week’s topic – and WHAT a lot of glorious covers! My favourite is the Piemme 2013 – I love the glowing icon which looks as though it’s on fire.

  3. I think I have to go with the Putnam Juvenile 2011 here- I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve seen that one more or what, but I seem to like it best. But I like the Loewe and Prumo covers as well.
