I Chopped Off All My Hair … Again

I have a love/hate relationship with my hair.  I love the way it looks when it is long but I love how easy and light it is when it is short.  I also don’t do a lot with my hair.  Day-to-day I just let it air dry and throw it into a pony tail or braid.  If I am trying to dress nicer I will straighten it (which takes about a minute even when it is long.)

I usually just let my hair grow with minimal trimming and then every 3-4 years, when it becomes unbearably long, I chop it all off and donate it.  I have now donated my hair 5 times!

Awww I look so young!! We don’t have great before and after pictures here and I don’t really remember if I liked this cut or not.

This cut is awful!!! Look at those bangs! They are soooo bad haha.  Pair it with my teenage acne and it wasn’t my best look.

This is my favorite ever cut! I really liked the way it turned out.

I also really liked this cut! Its a little different than the last one, but it was close enough.

Age 26: (current day)

 

 

I wanted something a little different with this one so I threw in some purple as well! Its pretty much the same cut as the last two but I love the way the purple turned out!!

I still have to send in my hair from my most recent cut.  I was just going to send it to Locks of Love, but I have heard some bad things about them? Anyone know a good place to send it?

    1. That place sounds awesome! I don’t see donation specifications posted online and they are in Canada (I am in the US) so I don’t know if it will work, but I contacted them about the donation, so we will see if they respond!! 🙂 Thank you for the information!

  4. Your hair looks very nice! I only donated my hair once, but I think I donated to Pantene Beautiful Locks. They partner with a company that makes and distributes wigs for free, instead of charging like Locks of Love does (or so I’ve heard).

  8. Your hair looks really good. I didn’t donate this time after if found out that they charge an outrageous about for the wigs. we had a family friend try to get one and the costs are so high. I hope you find a really good company to give it to.

    1. Thanks ❤ What color are you thinking for your hair? I am sure whatever you choose will look great! Change is good 🙂 I have never really cared much about my hair so cutting it all off is easy for me, but I know its hard for a lot of people.

  12. I’ve never had my hair short, it’s kind of scary for me since I haven’t found a way to control my curls with the humidity of this country😂 and I’m a little scared😂 I think your hair looks beautiful! I love the purple😍

  13. I love your new cut, the styling is great!
    I used to do this too when I was younger–let it grow out really long for years and then get it all chopped off. These days I pretty much keep it shorter, it’s so much easier to take care of lol.

  18. This looks beautiful! I love the subtle splash of color — can you see it from the front at all? I also grow my hair out long and then cut it short on a whim. XD Personally, I donate to Wigs for Kids. My local Salon does all the work for me and they make durable wigs for kids who actually do kid-like stuff. I love it. 🙂

    1. I will look into Wigs for Kids! Thanks ❤ And no, you can't see the purple from the front. I've been calling it my basic white girl mullet "cute in the front, party in the back" 😂😂 I know its not the best joke but I was tipsy when I thought of it and now it cracks me up 😂

    1. Thanks 😀 ❤ My favorite color is blue but I know I won't keep up with the color and blue fades to a weird green while purple fades to a red, so the purple will look better in the long run! And I really like purple too! 💜
