- The Inheritance Cycle

Honorable Mention: The Lord of the Rings
Today I learned that Tolkien considered The Lord of the Rings to be one book. If I had read it as one book, LOTR would be the longest book I have read, but I read it as three separate books. Therefore, instead of being on the actual list, it just gets an honorable mention.

Longest for me has to be from A Song of Ice and Fire too! Those books are monsters.

Some day I will read The Game of Thrones series. My longest is Gone with the Wind with over 1000 pages.

Game of Thrones was a beast haha and it sucks that the whole series isn’t released yet!! I watched the movie Gone with the Wind but never read the book.

No they really didn’t!! And I went off my Goodreads “read” list and sorted by page num. so that is the only reason I realized they were so long!

I think Martin’s like half my list too haha! And I like how you totaled up the pages at the end- I never thought of that. Now I might have to go back and add ’em up. 🙂

I forgot how long some of these are! I think the longest I’ve read is either Kushiel’s Dart or The Wise Man’s Fear.

The longest book I can think off the top of my head that I’ve read is Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderon. He can give GRRM a run for his money 😀

I had no idea before this prompt how long the SOIAF and Harry Potter books are! They definitely didn’t feel over 700 pages when I first read them!

The SOIAF felt super long to me but I was shocked to see HP so many times on this list! They didn’t feel long to me at all! Tho maybe it has to do with font size?

I see Brisingr in a lot of lists this week. Makes me curious about the book. And we do have Lotr and HP common in our lists!

Brisingr is book 3 in the Inheritance Cycle, which was one of my favorite series growing up ❤ So I liked them haha.

It’s so easy to forget that the HP and Twilight books are so long lol. How funny that all your books fell into the same few series!

I love how many people have Harry Potter and Game of Thrones as their largest books! I’ve also read The Inheritance Cycle, so Breaking Dawn is the only book on this list I *haven’t* read. That’s a first for me! Typically I haven’t read any of the books on these lists! XD
The longest books I’ve read are the Marvel Wizard of Oz Ombinus at 1,080 pages and the Wheel of Time books, many coming in around 1,000 pages. So worth it.

I’m with you on Game of Thrones and Harry Potter!! WOAH those GoT books are so long though 😂😂the Dance with Dragons felt like it took 500 years to read haha.

oh I loved the journal on the featured image! I was hoping to see the full image inside, Besides HP and Breaking Dawn the longests I’ve read were Gone with the Wind and The Goodfather 🙂

I am not sure why it was showing up as the featured image for TTT. (Tho I saw it too so it must be a wordpress glitch, but it seems to be fixed now?)
I watched the movie for Gone with the Wind a long time ago and I thought it was super long and old and I never really had any interest in the book after that.
