I was tagged by the lovely Consu @ Paper Eyed Girl! Paper Eyed Girl is one of my favorite blogs and Consu is pretty much my book twin so get check out her blog!!!!
I love this idea for a tag! Its like speed dating but for finding book buddies!
Favorite Book of All Time
If you couldn’t tell by my blog name or my header picture, my favorite book is Pride and Prejudice!
Favorite Book Five Years Ago
Pride and Prejudice has been my favorite book since I first read it 12 years ago (that makes me feel old!) but besides P&P my favorite was probably The Princess Bride.
Favorite Duology/Trilogy/Series
This needs no explanation. Harry Potter is amazing.
Last book You Read
Blech, I did not like this retelling. You can see my review here.
Last Book of Poetry I’ve Read
I don’t read poetry so, if I had to guess, it was one of Shel Silversein’s books that my mom read to me as a kid?
What Book most influenced your life
I can’t think of any books that really influenced my life, but Harry Potter is the first time I remember being obsessed with anything bookish related (tho I know I loved reading before that)
Book That Made You Ugly Cry
I ugly cry all the time while reading, but most recently it was probably while reading Sky in the Deep.
Book That Made You Laugh
In general I know this isn’t a funny book but Lila’s sense of humor was pure gold and I actually laughed out loud a couple of times.
Character You’d Like to Be For A Day
Hermione Granger is awesome and strong and smart and everything I wish I was!
Books So Good You Dreamt About It
I don’t ever remember my dreams so I can’t say.
Book You DNFed
I just couldn’t get into the Maze runner.
What Book are You Excited to Read
I just received a copy of this and I am super excited to read it!!! (even tho I have heard mixed reviews it is a P&P retelling so I can’t help but be excited!!!)

I love The Princess Bride! I saw their costumes at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle and had a nice flip-out. And I love Pride and Prejudice! Though for some reason, I gravitate more towards retellings of Beauty and the Beast than anything else. Perhaps I should switch to P&P retellings for awhile. Can never really get too much of Darcy.

That is soooo cool! I am super jealous 🙂 I got to see all the Star Wars costumes when the exhibit came to CO a few years ago and it was a lot of fun!! I go in phases where I pick different retellings and stories. Most often its P&P or Robin Hood ❤ I should give the Beauty and the Beast ones a try! Do you have a favorite?

I like the Robin McKinley ones! She has several. Beauty is great, and probably the one most aligned with the one we all know. It was my favorite as a kid. But I LOVED Sunshine. Just a warning though, it does drag in certain areas, and it veers way off from the original, but I love its unique take. Essentially, Beast is a vampire and Belle is a witch, and it’s set in more of a contemporary period. The ending is rather open as well; things aren’t wrapped up in a bow. It’s not for everyone, but it’s my favorite.

Thanks! I will check those out 🙂 The Vampire Beast and Witch Belle sounds super awesome!! But I am not a huge fan of open endings

I love your answers! I can’t believe I haven’t read Pride and Prejudice yet…. everytime I come to your blog I remember my shame!
Harry Potter is everything from my childhood and I’d love to spend a whole day talking to Hermione❤

I actually also never read Pride and Prejudice. Now I know I must, if Brittany is so in love with she devoted her blog’s name to it! I think I was always afraid that it would be too slow and that I would have to DNF something that is a proclaimed classic. But actually maybe now I’ve “grown up” enough to read and enjoy it. 🙂

I thought the same thing tbh. But now I’m ready to give it an honest chance

Have you ever tried? 🙂 I think I even once held a copy in my hands, but I’m not sure if I went further than that.

How did it happen that you read it, the first time round? Was it on your school program or someone recommended it to you? Did you like the movie?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I read it my sophomore year of high school as part of our required reading. And I did like the movie!! (the one with Keira Knightley) I thought it was really well done
