Contents:

  • Choco Mint Truffle Tea from The Tea Spot
  • Tea Strainer designed by OwlCrate and Michelle Gray
  • Book Nerd Socks by Out of Print and Underlined
  • Canvas Clutch Purse designed by Bookworm Boutique
  • Mirror of Erised Art Print by Michelle Gray
  • Pride by Ibi Zoboi
  • Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa

I love the socks and the clutch!! I am curious if the socks were both supposed to say “Nerd” or if one of them was supposed to say “book”? I have seen some people that got one of each and others that got two of the same.

I have actually been using the clutch and I am loving it.  I have never been a purse person, so I usually carry my phone, wallet, and keys in my hands.  The clutch holds all three along with a small book and is super easy to just tuck under my arm!!

This book sounds super interesting and I love the cover!  The picture doesn’t do it justice but it is super shiny ❤

I am SUPER-DUPER EXCITED about this book!!!! I love P&P retellings and I have heard good things about this one!!

Neither of the cover changes are that spectacular.  They are both just color changes, but both books are signed, so its worth it to get the OwlCrate editions!

I didn’t think I would like the tea, but it turned out to be really good! I steeped it for way longer than the directions said because I like really strong tea.  The only problem with the tea is that it is very fine, so there was a lot of tea leaves that got loose, but the issue wasn’t just with the strainer they provided, the same thing happened with my good mesh strainer.  I didn’t like the strainer they provided, it is kind of boring and I feel like they could have done a lot better making it book related.

Overall I think this is one of my favorite boxes!! I loved the items and the books this month!! I don’t really see how these items fit the theme of “Lost in the bookstore” but  don’t really care!!

Next Month’s box is “Rise From The Ashes”

Did you get the Owl Crate box? What did you think of the items?  Do you subscribe to any other boxes? Which ones?

    1. OwlCrate sends out a theme reveal that includes spoiler hints at what the book is going to be. I never read them because I like to be surprised, but if you were worried about liking the book you could read them and then decide whether or not to get the box that month! I know a couple people who will opt out of certain months because they aren’t interested in the book.

For October here was their book hint:

Book one is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice, set in Brooklyn, NY! We fell in love with the author’s writing style, and still can’t get this story out of our heads! Book two is an epic fantasy tale inspired by Japanese folklore. It follows an unlikely duo who must join forces in their hunt for an ancient magical artifact. We’re so happy we are able to feature both of these wonderful stories in our box!

      1. Oh sweet, I love that they do that! Maybe I’ll look into signing up then. I didn’t know you could opt out month to month. My husband had signed me up for a book crate as a gift one year and it was ok, but they didn’t offer any of that (and I think it was a new one and wound up quickly going out of business…there was some issues with the boxes being sent out consistently, altogether a rather unpleasant experience so I’ve been a little leery ever since.)

      2. I don’t know if they have an opt out system or if the people just order it on a month-to-month basis depending on if they like the book, but this box is definitely a well established one so they have all the big issues worked out!!
