I didn’t really know anything about Captain Marvel (the superhero or the movie) going into this, so I was a little confused when Korath was not only in the movie, but looked young and healthy and missing a few mechanical pieces:

Captain Marvel | Guardians of the Galaxy

It didn’t take long for me to realize that this movie takes place before most, if not all, of the other Marvel movies. (insert debate on the “correct” order to watch all the marvel movies) We also got to see a younger Nick Fury, Phil Coulson, and Ronan the Accuser.  Coulson didn’t get as much screen time as I would have liked and Roman was even more whiny and annoying than he was in Guardians of the Galaxy, but it was super cool to see a young Nick Fury, and I loved all the eye drama.

Captain Marvel | Captain America

I think my favorite character was the Cat/Flerken named Goose ❤ They even made him into a funko pop!!

Overall I really liked this movie! Its a mix between an origin story and a coming-of-age story.  I thought it was really well done and I loved the characters.  Captain Marvel is super bad ass and I love the moments when she realizes it! I loved the point when she decided she didn’t need to prove herself to you-know-who.  (I can’t say more without spoilers but it was super awesome!)

As with all Marvel movies, make sure you stay till the end of the credits (both the first colorful ones and the second white-text/black-screen ones) to see the extra scenes!!! I can’t wait to see Captain Marvel in Avengers: Endgame!!! I am so excited!!! It is going to be EPIC!
