Around the Blogosphere:

Melanie and Samm from TBR and Beyond have created what might be the best feature EVER.ย  Instead of trying to explain it I will let them tell it:

We are starting up a new feature on the blog called Drama Llama Patrol. There is always so much drama in the YA book community and we are here to give some commentary on it. We might ruffle a few feathers but this our just opinions โ€“ we can agree to disagree. What is the point in having a blog if you canโ€™t get a little sassy from time to time?

This particular DLP is about Special Edition boxes, and I couldn’t agree with them more.ย  People need to CHILL OUT! If you didn’t get one, it sucks. Move on!

Kathy @ Pages Below the Vaulted Sky wrote a post about how sports in Sci-Fi and Fantasy are rare.ย  How did I not notice this before?!?! We need more Fantasy sports! (Like Quidditch)

October

I failed miserably with my TBR last month so I don’t even want to document my TBR right now but there are some books I should read!

I doubt I will get to all six of those, but if by some miracle I do, then I really want to read these:

  1. You’ve listed several books in this post that were on my September TBR but I just couldn’t get to them, Serpent and Dove, Darkdawn and The Girl the Sea Gave Back. Hopefully I’ll catch up at some point!

  2. Reading something is better than reading nothing? I’m so bad with TBRs too coz I’m such a mood reader, so I usually think of possibility piles that I might wanna read ๐Ÿ˜‚ Hope you manage to read some more in October! Also, let me just say that The Nevernight Chronicle is AMAZING! I hope you love it if/when you get to it ๐Ÿ˜

  3. Nice TBR for October. Good Luck with those! I have Falling Kingdoms on my shelf but never seem to get to it. A 4 start from you indicates its a good one. Maybe I should read it sooner rather than later. Also Drama Llama sounds funny, I’ll check it out ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I suck at TBRs too lol The SECOND I make one, I want to deviate from it. DON’T tell me what to read TBR! How dare you! hahah. Is this your first time reading the Grisha Trilogy? I loved it! I hope you enjoy it all ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. And here I thought the romance community was full of drama but YA is just as bad!

I set up a “tentative” TBR pile, without putting that much pressure on me. Plus, I haven’t accepted too many ARCs this year and have been able to read books that have been sitting on my shelf for a while. ๐Ÿ™‚
