Down The TBR Hole #13

Down the TBR Hole was created by Lia @ Lost in a Story.  My goal is to review 12 books every Sunday until I make it through my TBR.

The Rules:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date Added.
  • Take the first 5 to 10 books (I’ve settled on 8).
  • Read the synopses of the book
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Starting Count: 204

  • TransformationRemove – It just doesn’t sound super interesting anymore
  • Crown of Feathers Keep – Phoenix Riders sound awesome
  • Atticus: A Woman’s Journey with the World’s Worst Behaved Dog Keep – The dog on the cover is just too cute
  • The Last Sun Keep – The guy on the cover looks like Sam from Supernatural
  • The Paper Magician Keep – This sounds like a super unique and cool magic system
  • The Mermaid Remove – No reason, just don’t really want to read it anymore
  • Ink and Bone Keep – Sounds super interesting
  • Shadows on the Moon Remove – Seems like there will be a lot of deception and lies and using of other people
  • The Lies of Locke Lamora Keep – A Rouge with a heart of gold maybe?
  • The Abyss Surrounds Us Keep – Pirates!
  • Compass Rose Keep – Pirates!
  • Ship of Magic Keep – I really need to read a book by Robin Hobb (And this one sounds amazing)

  1. I LOVE the Paper Magician! I think you’ll really enjoy that one 😊 Shadows of the Moon was not my favorite, and your reasons for not wanting to read it are the reasons I didn’t like it 😬 and Lies of Locke Lamora is on my tbr too!

  2. Nice list! Ship of Magic, Locke Lamora, and Ink and Bone are all on my TBR also. The only one of this list that I’ve read is The Paper Magician. I enjoyed it, but it was a bit more YA than I was prepared for at the time. I wanted more of the lore behind the magic, though I did enjoy the parts of the magic system that were described.

  3. Ooooh I’m going to be hosting a readalong for The Last Sun with the author and another blogger, so if you’d to join in…*wink wink* It starts on November 10th, and you have a chance to ask K.D. questions and stuff! Also I’m VERY happy you kept Lies of Locke Lamora and Hobb’s book. 😀
