Top Ten Tuesday – My Bookish Halloween Costumes

ttt-new-1

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is “Top Ten – Halloween Freebie” so I chose:

My Top 7 Bookish Halloween Costumes

Emphasis on the “Ish” haha.  A couple of these are from series that were originally books, or comics, but the rest were eventually made into books too. (Also I only have 7 not 10)

  1. Indiana Jones (2011)
  2. Thing 1 & Thing 2 (2012)
  3. Batman and Captain America (2013)
  4. Mario, Luigi, and Wario (2015)
  5. Harley Quinn (2016)
  6. Han Solo (2018)
  7. Slytherin and Ravenclaw (2019)

Alright, I know this is kind of a stretch for relating some of these to books, but I am super proud of my costumes and wanted to show them off! They are all homemade! I made the Thing 1 & 2 shirts, the tutus and the Ravenclaw robes. 😀

What is the best thing you have ever dressed up as? Do you make your own Halloween costumes? Lets talk!

  1. Very fun! My only bookish costume theme has been Harry Potter — though I’ve done it a few times, so does that count as more than once? (I’ve done both generic Ravenclaw student and a member of the Ravenclaw Quiddich team, so they were at least different costumes.) I love that you made your costumes! Very nice. 🙂

  2. I’m a bit late, but these are so great! I have a Yoshi scarf/hoodie so I’ve done a Super Mario Cosplay group several times, but I love how you incorporated tutus! One time we were all Waluigi as well.

The rest are excellent as well. Great list idea!

    1. You’re not late, you’re right on time! This is the first chance I’ve had to reply to comments in over a week anyway, so I wouldn’t have even noticed the time if you hadn’t have said anything haha. Mario works great for group costumes! Tho I don’t think I’ve seen everyone be the same character 😂 that sounds awesome! And thanks ❤
